I discovered yoga during a particularly challenging and stressful graduate school program, and it has remained a steady presence in my life for more than 20 years. Yoga complements every aspect of my active lifestyle, which includes martial arts, strength training, cycling, hiking, and spending time on Northern Michigan's lakes.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2026, deepening my passion for sharing the transformative benefits of yoga with others. I am a firm believer that yoga truly is for every body, and my teaching philosophy centers on honoring ourselves wherever we are on our journey, moving with intention, and cultivating a practice that respects and trusts the person we are in the present moment. I am proud to teach in the Traverse City area, and I encourage students to discover greater strength, stability, and balance, both on and off the mat.

I am a Traverse City native, and my family has called the area home for generations. I joined the U.S. Navy immediately after high school and retired as a Captain in 2022. After returning home to Northern Michigan, I began a new chapter of service at the Greenspire School, first as the Outdoor Physical Education and Health teacher and most recently as the Math teacher. Whether teaching in the classroom or the yoga studio, my passion is helping others build confidence, resilience, and lifelong habits that support health and well-being.
